RACGP Plans Education Events for GPs
05 Mar 2026
These sessions aim to help GPs improve their skills, learn about new health topics, and connect with other professionals.
Workshop on Menopause Care
A face-to-face workshop on menopause will take place on Saturday 28 March from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm (AEDT) at the Mercure Ballarat Hotel and Convention Centre in Ballarat, Victoria.
The session is organised by the Australasian Menopause Society and will provide practical guidance on caring for women during mid-life. Speakers will discuss how to manage menopause consultations, the use of hormone therapy, non-hormonal treatment options, and how to assess abnormal bleeding during peri-menopause.
The workshop offers 3 EA CPD hours.
Registration costs $105 for AMS members and $210 for non-members, while registrars can attend free. RACGP members can also receive 10% off by using the code RACGP10%.
Webinar on Sustainable Healthcare
RACGP will also run a one-hour webinar on Thursday 12 March from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm (AEDT) about sustainability in general practice.
The session will explain how climate change is affecting health and healthcare systems. It will also share practical ways clinics can lower their environmental impact while still providing quality care to patients.
Participants will receive 1 EA CPD hour.
Peer Learning Session on Family Violence
RACGP Tasmania will host a peer-group learning event in Hobart on Tuesday 10 March from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. The event is being held in recognition of International Women’s Day 2026.
Alina Thomas, CEO of Engender Equality, will speak about the Primary Care Family and Sexual Violence pilot program. The session will also look at useful frameworks, documentation practices, and ways GPs and clinic staff can better support people affected by violence.
The event is free for RACGP members.
Feedback from Members
RACGP Tasmania is also inviting members to complete an online survey. The feedback will help the faculty organise future education sessions and networking opportunities.
