International Women’s Day Online Meet-Up

RACGP Rural is hosting an online meet-up for members to celebrate women in general practice and discuss ways to achieve gender equality. The theme this year is “Balance the Scales”, focusing on fair, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for all women.

Special guest Dr Sonia Henry, a GP with experience in remote Australia and expertise in GP welfare and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, will speak at the event.


Movember Men’s Health Event

  • Date: Monday 2 March, 7.00–8.00 pm (ACST)

  • Location: RACGP NT office, Darwin, Larrakia Country

  • CPD: 1 hour EA

Dr Nige Gray, Dr Bernie Westley, and the Movember team will host a session on men’s health, including strategies to better support men’s mental health. A panel of local GPs and men’s health experts will share insights and introduce Movember’s Men in Mind resources.

Members can join for light refreshments from 6.30 pm. The session will also be available online.

Digital Health Festival 2026

  • Date: 20–21 May

The RACGP is an Industry Partner for the 2026 Digital Health Festival. Speakers include RACGP President Dr Michael Wright, Dr Darran Foo, and Dr Rob Hosking. Attendees can access GP-focused digital health sessions, connect with peers, and apply for a complimentary Public Health VIP ticket valued at $1000.


New GP Workforce Expert Committee

The RACGP is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to join its new GP Workforce Expert Committee, aimed at addressing workforce challenges across Australia. Members will monitor trends, risks, and reforms to help build a sustainable GP workforce.

The college is seeking a Chair, Deputy Chair, and committee members, including:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GPs

  • Rural and remote GPs

  • International medical graduates

  • GPs with relevant workforce experience
