Professor Henry Brodaty AO Honoured as 2026 Senior Australian of the Year

A pioneer in dementia care, Professor Brodaty’s work is inspired by his father’s early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease at 52. In 2012, he co-founded the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing and has led research that has shaped the global understanding of dementia prevention and risk. His life’s work is improving dementia care and making a real difference for Australians living with the condition.
