Presolol 100 (Labetalol 100 mg) Shortage Update: Substitution Instrument Extended

In response, the Therapeutic Goods (Serious Scarcity and Substitutable Medicine) (Labetalol) Instrument 2025 (SSSI) has been extended to 31 December 2025.
This instrument allows pharmacists to substitute a prescribed labetalol 100 mg tablet with labetalol 200 mg, where clinically appropriate, without requiring a new prescription.
