Inaugural Assistant Director of Midwifery (ADoM) Role
The establishment of the ADoM role is a first in Tasmania with Becky French being the first Midwife to be substantively appointed. Establishing this role is a crucial step in supporting the autonomy of the profession and ensuring high reliability care for the women in their care.
The ADOM will provide leadership and advocacy for the profession and the women in their care, working closely with the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery to champion a strategic plan for the Midwifery Service across Hospitals South.
Notably, Becky was also recently recognised with the Tasmanian Public Sector Midwife of the year award.
