New Campaign Helps Australians Access Bulk-Billed GP Care
27 Jan 2026
The move comes after recent changes to the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), which expanded bulk-billing incentives, and the introduction of the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP). These measures mean more general practices are offering bulk billing, potentially saving families hundreds of dollars a year in out-of-pocket costs.
The campaign aims to let people know they are now more likely to receive bulk-billed GP care and to guide them on how to find a participating practice. It will run across TV, social media, digital platforms, print, and search channels, with materials designed to be accessible for First Nations and multicultural communities.
