Community hospitals are smaller public hospitals designed to bring healthcare closer to home. They offer a range of services, help more people manage their health locally, and ease pressure on major hospitals across Victoria.

Urgent Care
Urgent care services provide treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses when you can’t wait to see your GP. No appointment or referral is needed, allowing faster care without waiting in the emergency department.
For other hospital services, patients will generally need a referral from their GP or healthcare provider.
