Mental Health Kids Hub opens its doors
04 Feb 2025
WA children will have access to early intervention and mental health support following the opening of The Kids Hub on 31 January in Midland.
The Kids Hub, operated by Parkerville Children and Youth Care Service, will provide free mental health and wellbeing services for children under 12 years experiencing mild to moderate developmental, mental health, behavioural or emotional challenges, and their families.
Children will not need a formal referral or diagnosis to receive care, which includes access to psychologists, paediatricians, nurses, social workers and peer support workers.
The service will be jointly funded by the Western Australian and Australian Governments.
The Kids Hub aims to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for children by filling gaps in the health system through the provision of accessible, child-centred services at no cost to families.
