People who were at the following locations on 27 January 2026 should watch for symptoms:

Cebu Pacific Flight CEB39: Manila to Sydney, arrival 10:50 am

Sydney Airport: arrivals and baggage claim, 11:00 am–12:00 pm
-
T8 Train Line: International Airport Station to Central Station, 12:30 pm–1:20 pm
-
T1 Train Line: Central Station to Hornsby, 12:50 pm–2:20 pm
Measles symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, sore eyes, and a red rash a few days later. If you develop symptoms, contact your GP or local health service first and call ahead.
Vaccination is key: anyone born after 1965 should have two doses of MMR. Children get free doses at 12 and 18 months, and infants travelling overseas can get vaccinated from six months. Adults unsure of their vaccination status are encouraged to get vaccinated.
