Launch of the National Immunisation Program Vaccinations in Pharmacy (NIPVIP) Program
22 Dec 2023
From 1 January 2024, participating pharmacies can receive a payment of $18.85 per vaccination for administering National Immunisation Program (NIP) vaccines. This payment only applies to NIP vaccines that are administered:
- in a pharmacy setting
- to individuals aged 5 years and over.
The NIP vaccines that can be administered by pharmacies are determined by state and territory legislation.
This program will protect our community from vaccine preventable diseases by making vaccines more affordable and easier for patients to access.
More information
NIPVIP Program registration and claiming is available in the Pharmacy Programs Administrator (PPA) Portal from 1 January 2024.
