Join us in celebrating our midwives
05 May 2025
Every day across our state midwives play a uniquely important role in supporting women, babies and their families through what is one of the most important times in their lives.
They do this while delivering exceptional and highly valued care, often in diverse and varied locations and circumstances.
“You get so much just from being with the women—seeing the power of the women—and we’re there to support the mums and to increase their own knowledge that they can do this,” says Judy Thompson, one of our valued midwives, in this video.
We share our heartfelt thanks to all our midwives and maternity teams for all that you do, every day, to support the health and wellbeing of women, babies and families across Tasmania!
