Healthy Tasmania Step Forward Grants awarded
02 Nov 2023
Step Forward grants provide up to $5,000 for a wide range of activities and equipment that support health and wellbeing in the community, such as training, posters, brochures or other equipment.
This latest round provides $162,000 in funding for a range of initiatives across the State that promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals, while increasing community spirit and participation.

Successful initiatives funded under this round include purchasing equipment for community kitchens and gymnastics clubs, to supporting mental health training and community events.
The Step Forward Grants are one of four grant programs in the Healthy Tasmania Fund.
The Tasmanian Government has committed $8 million over four years towards the fund, which is a key part of the Healthy Tasmania Five-Year Strategic Plan 2022-2026.
