Have Your Say: Shaping the Role of the Doctor
13 Nov 2025
Since the original statement in 2011, the health landscape has changed significantly. Today, the role of the doctor is under increasing pressure. Scope of practice is expanding, administrative demands are rising, and workforce shortages are being addressed with quick solutions that can compromise patient safety. These challenges affect not only doctors’ work but also the quality and safety of care Australians receive.
Your experiences and insights are vital. Whether you are supervising colleagues, managing delegation in under-resourced settings, working in multidisciplinary teams, or advocating for patients within complex care systems, your perspective will help shape the new statement.
The survey is anonymous, takes only five minutes, and is open until 24 November.
