Gregory Hills Urgent Care Helps Thousands in Two Years

04 Mar 2026

State Health Minister Ryan Park and Camden MP Sally Quinnell visited the clinic on Wednesday, 4 March, to see the service in action and meet the staff. Joining them were SWSPHN Primary Care Workforce Manager Bianca Walsh, South Western Sydney Local Health District Chief Executive Sonia Marshall, and My Family Health Gregory Hills’ Practice Manager Waheed Akhtar and GP Dr Sammy Isaac.

The UCS treats minor injuries and illnesses, including cuts, sprains, suspected fractures, minor infections, asthma attacks, flu, and earaches. Around 500 patients visit each month, mostly after hours between 4pm and 8pm.

Patients have shared their appreciation:

  • “Quick help when my child had an asthma flare-up,” said one parent.

  • A grandmother thanked staff after her grandchild fell off a bike: “Otherwise we’d have been sitting in ED for hours.”

  • Other parents praised the service for being easy, convenient, and reassuring.

The clinic is open 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, including public holidays, and treatment is free for Medicare card holders.
