Governments Order Review of cohealth GP Clinics
03 Mar 2026
The review was announced on 20 November 2025. It will examine how cohealth’s GP clinics operate, how they are governed, and whether they are financially sustainable.
The expert panel includes Professor Stephen Duckett (Chair), Professor John Furler, and Ms Jane Seeber. The firm McGrathNicol is assisting with financial and technical advice.
The review follows cohealth’s decision to close its GP clinics in Fitzroy, Collingwood and Kensington. The goal is to explore options that could keep these services running for the community.
The Federal Government has committed up to $1.5 million to support the clinics until 31 July 2026. Submissions have now closed, and the panel is preparing its final report.
