Auditor Guidance Released for Care Minutes Reporting

Care Minutes Performance Statements help ensure residents’ care time is accurately reported. Providers are encouraged to engage an external auditor early and keep detailed records to complete their statement.

Resources available include:

  • Auditor guidance
  • Audit report templates

All residential care providers must submit their audited Care Minutes Performance Statement as part of the Aged Care Financial Report by 31 October 2026.

If the reported care minutes differ from those in the Quarterly Financial Report, the care minutes supplement may be recalculated.
