AMA Welcomes Federal Funding to Support Cohealth Services
20 Nov 2025
The funding will allow Cohealth to continue operating until 31 July 2026, while an independent review of its general practice service model, governance, and finances is carried out.
Cohealth is widely recognised for providing healthcare to vulnerable populations. The review aims to develop recommendations for a long-term solution to ensure these essential services remain available.
The AMA had been engaging with Health Minister Mark Butler and senior Department of Health, Disability and Ageing officials, emphasising the critical role Cohealth plays in delivering vital healthcare to the community.
