2026 Flu Vaccine Program Update for Health Professionals

Flu vaccines for the 2026 program will be available to order from April 2026, depending on supply arrangements in each state and territory.
The update from the Chief Medical Officer includes several key resources for health professionals. These include the 2026 influenza vaccination advice, a consumer factsheet, and a statement from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation about giving seasonal influenza vaccines in 2026.
More guidance and resources will be shared before the program starts. These will be available on the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing website at health.gov.au/flu.
Health professionals and stakeholders are encouraged to subscribe to the department’s email list to receive the latest updates about the NIP influenza vaccination program.
